Avoid Things That May Displease Your Partner

It is but natural that you want to be with the one you love because he or she makes you happy. This is precisely why people who are in love get married because they are happy being with their partner. There is this notion that two people in love will always want to be together because they enjoy each others company, every moment of the day.

However in marriage, reality sets in and one realizes that, as they saying goes, it's not a bed of roses after all. But if you really love your spouse, you must think more his or her happiness rather than expecting him or her to make you happy. Its a love advice relationship problem that needs to be addressed.

Does this mean that you need to give up your own happiness for your partner? On the contrary, it means that both of you may enjoy each other if you looked more at the positive aspects rather than the negative side of doing things that would displease your partner. It means that we look at things that contribute positively to the relationship. Negative attitudes, negative remarks or negative habits put the relationship at risk.

One good tip that can help you have a happier relationship is to avoid doing things that may displease your partner. We know that each of us has his or her pet peeves. There are just some things or situations that tend to irritate us. For example, if your spouse doesn't want you to come home late or gives you a time limit, make him happy by coming home on time.

I remember that one of the things my father was particular about was that he wanted my mother home always in time for dinner and that was at 7:00 every night. My mother, however, loves to chat with friends and get so involved with conversation that somehow she has the tendency to forget the time. Then, one evening, she did come home late which made my father very angry. He didn't wait for her for dinner and stayed in the room and that created a big argument. They did not speak to each other for days. This needed a relationship problem advice.

This may be just a small thing but it was something that displeased my father. After that incident, my mother became more conscious not to displease him in that way and as a result, there was more harmony between them.

Another example is, if your spouse doesn't want you to come home drunk, then avoid drinking too much. How many wives complain about this? Or if your spouse doesn't want an untidy room, keep things orderly. Another situation is that it your spouse doesn't want noise at home because of an assignment that needs your utmost concentration, be there to help keep the children from being noisy.

Never feel that it's one sided. Where there is love, one understands the other and always thinks of the welfare of the other. This is the best relationship problem advice that one can get. In turn, you will be happier and your partner will reciprocate as well because he or she has felt your love.
